At Meadens of Hythe, we are a trusted Practical Car & Van Rental franchise for nearly 30 years,providing reliable van hire services at highly competitive prices. Our modern fleet includes Transit Short Wheelbase vans, Transit Long Wheelbase vans, and Luton vans with tail lifts

Ideal for house removals, furniture collection, and general transportation needs.

Whether you’re moving home, transporting bulky items, or need a dependable vehicle for business use, we have the perfect rental van to suit your requirements. Our van hire prices start from just £60 per day, inclusive of VAT, insurance, and 150 free miles. Additional mileage is charged at only 12p per mile including VAT.

We also offer a convenient 4-hour van hire option for £40, perfect for shorter jobs (subject to availability and not available for advance booking).

To hire a van, customers must provide the following:

Valid UK driving licence photo card
Proof of address
Driving licence check code from the GOV.UK website www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

For added convenience, sack trucks are available to hire for just £5 per day, making loading and unloading easier.

The best part is there is no pressure from them, they let you take your time, kindly give you refreshments and all there stock is great condition and I can see why they keep a high reputation. Normally you will find a company with hundreds of cars in stock and half of the time they do not even know the conditions the cars are in but at Meadens they know there stock and they do a great job keeping them tidy and take pride in there cars and also there campers. Lee and Steve were a pleasure to deal with and I have recommended already to friends and family. Thanks again

I have never felt so comfortable when buying and vehicle. Me and my wife decided to buy a motorhome for the first time, we had travelled from the West Midlands to Hythe to view a motorhome that caught our eye on autotrader.

From the moment I had booked the viewing I had given confidence, I had a call back within minutes regarding a question I had asked and given the answer which I found very impressive.

The vehicle itself was lovely, I was impressed with the full service history and look of the vehicle. It had been looked after. When looking around the vehicle we were given time on our own to look around, think and we weren’t pressured or felt under pressure, we were given the time we needed to make such a big decision.

Both Steve and Lee were friendly and professional and made us both very much at ease. I thank them both for their time and kindness while making a big decision and am grateful to them both.
